When i start the car either in the morning, or after it's been sitting all day at work. There is this, whining/buzzing noise coming from the engine. After the car warms up this noise goes away. There is plenty of Fluid in the PS.

Im not sure if the pump is going bad or a belt is too tight, or what.

Check the tension on all the belts if that's what you suspect.

If it was the power steering leaking, it would make the buzzing noise all the time...i know, mine is doing this. hahaha.

whining/buzzing noise.....would this translate into a squealing noise? Just trying to pin point what you're talking about.

SOUNDS like your pump is close to going out. My pump does that whining/buzzing noise ALL the time and my belt is brand new, no leaks, and rack n pinion are in good shape as well.

Thanks for the info. It looks like i will be changing out the PS Pump. The belts are not squealing at all, and there are no leaks. So thats got to be the problem...

Yeah, its trying to seize up or stop working, better change it before it does this when you need it.

Sometimes when I start my car in the morning the belts squeal like a little bitch for about 5 seconds, then it'll go away. Hate that shit.

what is wrong with your keyboard!! LOL

I suggest rebuild the pump, I think my KA pump cost about $60 to have it done at a local shop. GL

That's just moisture under the belt making it slide on the pulley. Most people just replace the belt at that point.

Probably. This is Florida, always 87%+ humidity. The belts are only 3 months old so I doubt the belt is bad.

I would have to let my car warm up for at least 10 min before the sound went away. My PS pump was HURRRT. It was leaking at the pump. The PS fluid was frothy and even with LUCAS it was still acting crazy. Put it a new pump like a week ago. Smmmmoov.LyK.ButtUh

edit
P.S. I also replaced my high pressure line with a custom made unit a friend made for me. Its pretty much like the one MAMS carries.
