It'll work as long as you switch the bottom shock mount.

Sure you could use it...and it would be lighter too. But since it is a z32 knuckle and you’re putting them on a s chassis, the rear suspension ends are different. Z32 uses a fork style.

It's not worth it.
Coilover choices are limited.
Stick with stock.

If you're going to lie, at least lie about something believable. I know for a fact I've silenced the questions about this very topic three times before.

I'm having the same dilema too. so the only good thing about switching z32 spindle is weight saving like 14lbs for both sides. right?
also, if I don't do the z32 spindle, can I still mount the z32 ebrake assembly onto s14 spindle? thanks

yap. you can install the z32 ebrake assembly on a s14. there are tons of write up about it.
here's one: click here (http://importnut.net/300zxbrakeswap-ebrake.htm)

Yes it works for s14's but don't go swapping shock mount bushings for urethane b/c it sits at an angle on s14s.

Limited to good coilovers really. I don't see that as a bad thing.

^^ swapping shock mount bushing? I'm sorry but can you explain more about this? so are you saying don't swap the shock mount bushing of z32 into s14?

No. Don't replace the Z32 bushing with a higher durometer piece like urethane or aluminum. The fork has to sit at an angle, twisting the OE bushing a little. Anything harder won't give.
For those complaining about coilover availability, you can always cut/weld if the lower mount is removable. Some companies won't sell the Z32 mounts but a pair of old shocks and 15 minutes with a grinder and welder solves that easily.

The stock Z32 upright bushing is garbage, probably 40% of it is empty/air.
Spherical bearings for the shock mount is the ideal solution. Might as well have all your wheel motion translate into motion at the shock/spring so your suspension can actually work instead of bouncing around on a big ass rubber marshmellow.

True, but I haven't found a spherical replacement as of yet. Plus my car hasn't been driven in over a year so it's not a pressing issue.
SPL sells one($$$), and I'll be fabbing up a few in the coming weeks.

turn up the boost 1/10 of a pound to make up for the 14 pounds.
