what is the door jam trick?

I have it written down somewhere. It involves you pushing in the driver door jam (the one that makes the int light go on) several times when the key is in the 'ON' position. I'll find the exact instructions when a buyer comes thru...otherwise there's always the search feature.

The Door Jam Trick is where you hold the Door Jam Button down as you turn the car's ignition on the ON position then when your car lights up you press the button down several times til the light starts blinking in a off beat matter. i had to do this when i got my steering wheel put on. The Internet Guide calls it a Test light -= dont know for what kind of test =- but thats what it does. it doesnt eliminate the blinking just sets it off beat. for example you will see it blink once and twice then nothing for 3 seconds then it will blink agian.

The "door jam trick" is to reset the airbag light and/or diagnosis what the problem is for the SR5 system, if I'm not mistaken.

This is a nice steering wheel. I was looking for one a month or so back, but I didn't know how to redo my cruise control so I said forget it.
