Hey guy i was working on my car the other day and i was checking my engine oil and the dip stick reads nothing...checked it at least 20 times and nothing. no leaks or anything from to and bottom...i rebuilt the motor during christmas and all o got done was the head and replace the oil pan gasket. compression checkout ok. In the morning theirs blue smoke for a quick second then its gone....and ideas.... i have a KA24de thanks.

From what you're saying, it looks like you put on a new head and some seals, but DID NOT do any bottom end work (no pistons, rings, etc...?)
You can have good compression and bad oil control rings.
My guess - You're probably always burning oil, just slightly.
