Found a 240

I finally found a good deal on a s13. I am wanting a coupe, but I am having bad luck. So, I just found a 89 fastback for $700 and I can probably talk him down to 600. What do you think the first mod I should do to it?

Besides SR20, cause I don't have that kinda money yet.

Well, if the guy says there is nothing wrong with it, I'd still take it to your mechanic first and have him check it out.  I wouldn't want to modify a car that I wasn't sure was in perfect mechanical condition.

Whoa, that is seriously cheap. You better have a shit load of money left over. I had $1000 left over, and I spent it just getting my 91 Fastback in good condition. If you are getting a $700 89, expect to put like $2000 into it right off the bat, and a bit more down the line.
Your first mod should be getting the car into the bext shape for modding.

It has 240,000 miles and the engine is sound and the interior is a little worn. The guy that has it, found it on the side of the road one day and it came out to be some mexicans had it. And they were doing some drug run or something and ditched the car and the title was in the glove box.

I forgot to say this, when the guy was pulling out the car, he accidentally bent a metal piece under the driver side door. Its just bent out a little and should be easy to fix. But thats the only thing on the exterior that is wrong
