I searched before I put up this post. I didn't really find anything that answers the question. While I was installing the new catback exhaust, I noticed some oil at the bottom of the carrier bearing. where is this oil coming from? The leak is not heavy, just very very small drips...

where is this oil coming from?

Can you tell if it's ATF, engine oil, coolant, or brake fluid?

If it's ATF it could be power steering or transmission (if you have auto).

Engine oil looks similar to gear oil so I wouldn't blame you if you couldn't tell if it came from the engine or the transmission.

If it's coolant I would suspect the heater hoses.

If brake then check your rear hardline.

Try cleaning up the fluid and putting a fresh piece of cardboard under the car overnight. See if you can pinpoint at least where it's dripping from.

Check ur tailshaft seal (i think thats what it is called) - where the driveshaft meets tranny. Maybe that has gone bad and is leaking
