If you were to remove the back seats out of a hatch what would you do to cover up the area they leave uncovered?  Have any of you done this, if so  what did you do to cover it up?  Fabricate special panels or what?

Thanks for the input

most people that remove them don't cover it up with anything, it's not for asthetics, it's for weight.

Yeah i know that but I am changing the color of my car and under the seats it is painted the color that it is now  so i would like to cover it up rather than have it painted inside the car

i was thinking of getting some custom carpeting fitted, nothing fancy but just so it fit similar to stock... and covered the bare metal of where the seats used to be, this would be simple for removing if i went to the track or whatnot...

Someone on here just made like a compartment thing, where they used the swivel mounts from the seats and made it so its like a secret trunk. He also put 2 speakers where thje back of the seats were. He said it was pretty cheap, just some carpet, wood and nails.

That's a pretty damn good idea, the 'secret trunk'.  The floor under the rear seat is shaped nicely for that.

When my seats come out I'm not putting anything back there, but, yeah, I guess that's not for everyone.
