Guys, I decided I didn't want to talk to this asshol at work today and decided to put him on hold (until he hung up) and I thought about this... This electric super/turbo charger thingy could work. How well is another question. It would definately not be worth the money or effort, though. It's a compressor with no belt connection nor connection to the exhaust, that cancels both parasitic losses and turbo lag. The problem is that it doesn't have a wastegate either, so there is no way of quelling overboost, but hell, it's electric, hook it to a toggle switch and use it in bursts... The major problem will be the fact that it still isn't worth my time and effort and only because this man was being a dickhead was I able to invest 10 minutes to think about it today... Can it work? Yes. Is it worth it? Fuck no.

No, it won't work. In order for a turbo or supercharger or anything forced induction to work, the pressure must be raised. That's why they are compressors, not fans. Once the pressure builds up on one side of the fan, it becomes less then not effecient. It will not flow anything at more then atmospheric pressure. Don't waste your time thinking about it. Also, if the thing actually worked, it would probably take more then 3 amps, also, where is the energy (or power or whatever you want to call it) coming from??? the alternator maybe, which is hooked up to your engine.
