I just replaced my tranny fluid last week with redline mt-90.
It's what other suggested and I researched up. GL-4 fluid is best for the tranny cuz it wont mess up the synchros or something?
Ahh...I'll let the professionals talk.
Edit: Here's the link to what I read up on.

I've had good luck with Mobil1 Synthetic 10w30 for the motor, and Royal Purple Max Gear for the tranny. I personally didn't care for MT90 when I had it in the tranny... felt to thin for my taste. The RP gear oil is rated GL4/GL5, and is supposed to work fine with yellow metals aka our syncros.

I use redline mt-90 in my trans. It takes a while for the fluid to warm up but its definitely good stuff. I would stick with the bigger name brands if you track the car. If you just daily drive and race it once in a while there is no need for anything special. Mobil 1 75w-90 is sold at most auto parts store which is fine for most cars.
Redline, purple power or amsoil are all good high end brands. And actually they arnt that much more expensive than auto parts store brands. And this is assuming you can get it local. If you buy from jegs or summit racing, you have to pay a ridiculous shipping charge. I got mine at a local speed shop for 8 or 9 dollars a quart. I think mobil 1 is around 7 or 8 dollars.

Lu said it right. If you can get redline, amsoil or purple, DO IT! Its not that much difference in price unless you need it shipped. I rock Mobil 1 synthetic on my DD since it hardly sees the track.
Depends on what you use your car for i guess.
