I just wanted to get premium guard cause there cheap. But I dont want to buy some bootleg ass filter that will cause harm.

We utilize Korean OEM experience, Taiwanese innovation, and Chinese cost effective manufacturing.
Hmm... Two out of three ain't bad, but the third is a killer.

I've always used Pureolator Pure One oil filters. They are one of the best filters for the price. Hell they even make Subaru OEM filters. Personally I wouldn't trust anything that is Chinese cost effective manufacturing. Might get a recall like all those lead painted toys.

Do some research on oil filters, there is not alot of difference between a "premium" K&N (for example) and a "budget" Supertech filter. The biggest difference are the bypass valves and amount of filter media. You'd be surprised that alot of the so called "premium" mfgs use cheap bypass valves and use cardboard to hold the media together, while some of the "budget" filters use steel bypass valves and metal or rubber to hold the media together. When in doubt, cut a used one open and examine it. (or a new one if you are a high rolla')

I dont really know what differences oil filters make but ill try to give feedback.
or even better give someone a free filter in zilvia that knows more about filters.

You really dont need anything more than OEM.

I didnt get these to surpass oem spec. Personally I love to keep it oem but I found that I can get these prem guards for less than 3 bucks.
My filters actually came today. I'm gonna get it in during the weekend but If it doesnt leak or anything I wouldnt know anything differences cause I dont know much about how filters perform.
I will have 1 premium guard filter that someone can test or inspect. anytakers? I will even ship it to you for free if your in the states.
I've always used OEM filters with all my cars - no worried about a janky bypass valve or crappy filter media.
