ok so a friend of mine is trying to buy a short shifter for his rb20 and bought one off egaaaay for around a bill. . . but all those damn shifters say the same thing " 240sx r32 r33" but i tried to put it in and of course it doesnt fit, the middle bolt on the left side is wrong and the shifter angle in the tranny is wrong! so what the hell can he order?

The short shifter I have in my RB20 trans is from a SR20. The B&M plate you would need to drill a new hole and seal up the other to get it work.

and SR and KA short shifters are the same..so ideally yours should work....thats ebay for ya. Just for the books, i LOVE my fidanza 2 pc weighted shifter.....worth a look

Absolutely right. KA/SR/RB are not the same. And if you look on ebay for a short shifter for your RB20 and see some (I think last I looked there were fidanza ones saying they worked for RB20), the fact is they work only for the RB20DE not T...

don't make me have to search for you a 2nd time

nevermind i found it on NICO, you have to replace the RB striker arm with one from the old KA tranny and grind a little on the upper plate of the shifter and drill the one big hole. . . not too bad, thanks anyways guys.
