Does anyone know where Steven lives?
I dropped my car off at his shop April 26, 08. Motor swap, KA24E to KA24DE....on a budget, blew up my motor.. need a DD

He said that it would take a couple of days at best, BUT would be done by the following weds. April 30,08

I called him sunday april 27th to see if he had started. (he said that he would try to start on it the same day i dropped it off and he said he would call me to let me know whats up

When I called him on Sunday he greets me with a "What do you want" type atttitude, which kind of took me by surprise, I thought I had called one of my friends initially that was just messing around.

He continued his attitude and lectured me on how I shouldnt bother him, and made it sound like it was not my right to know the status of my car.

So whatever I waited until Weds April 30th....finally at 7pm i called to see what the heck is going on. He tells me that he is at dinner and he will call me back, ok fine. He says "I'll try to get it finished up tonight"

No call back, I call him on Thursday May 1, 08, his cell phone is off, and the shop phone goes straight to v-mail, (it seems that it is forwarded to his cell)
Friday May 2nd SAME
Sat May 3rd I go to the shop fed up and pissed off....CLOSED!!!
I go peek through the fence and my car is SITTING in the exact same spot that it was dropped off at from the tow truck.
SAME NO PHONE CALL PICKED UP OR RETURNED!!!
So I called the Azusa Police Dept. and ask them my options.
If the car is not delivered or phone calls are not returned one week from promise date, I have to file charges of extortion.:madfawk:


Sun - SAME
Mon - SAME
Tue May 6 - SAME


Tomm I will take off work if necessary to file charges of extortion. and file suit for time lost, towing fees and rental car fees.

So if someone could give me his address or last known contact info it would be much appreciated.


*edit* forgot to mention I bought parts from him originally and he seemed like a good knowledgeable guy so that is why i initially decided to go with him to do the swap....But both parts that i bought from him were junk and did not work, but when i called him back he said that he would exchange them....still have yet to see any parts exchanged....

yea dude i dont trust that guy, i took my civic for a clutch job and that shit ended up worse than it was before, and yea had to call him so many times just for him to do the job, and get this, the day i went, some 16 year old kid came to the shop asking for his registration, steven didnt have it, so the guy said he had been going for like a week and nothing, decided to show steven a good ass whopping right there in front of everyone who was at the shop, damn it was pretty funny though

LOL thats funny...but sorry to say...i think he definitely had it coming....He runs his shop as if its some kind of barn yard half assed shop.....

If he had some legitimate family emergency or something I could understand....but I know he has been checking his messages, I have left him quite a few and I know others have been too... his vmail box said it was full one day and wasnt the next....so someone had to of cleared them out....and also some days and nights the phone will actually ring vs just going to straight vmail....

hes just playing stupid games.....but he'll get his served when i file charges and a suit against him....

i really hope he reads this and get his act together...

I had to wait about 5 hours because they were late in bringing one of their customers cars down to my shop for dyno tuning. .

They could not fully grip the idea that when you make an appointment for 10 AM on a sunday it is not ok to be there at 430 and demand services even as the shop is CLOSING for the day. :spank:

Just to explain the situation,

I was forced to leave for an emergency.
The shop is not my main income in no way.
I left someone in charge with the keys, to take calls ect.
From what i came back to, he did not do so.
I have already talked to loveskylines (#/f/member.php?u=68053).
And have came to a agreement.

No issue here.

If anyone has any other problem/ complaint please pm me i will do my best to resolve.

I have had a really hard time staying on the up and up with the shop in the past, But i have devoted more of my time into it now and have gotten good outcome. I will soon show what this shop is really about and what it can do.

BTW all the work that is done here is backed up with no questions asked warranty. Its up to the customer to use it.

I see he responded, I hope you got everything you asked for, if someone has to leave for an emergency they should contact the people whose property they have, especially when it is overdue by a week. Too bad, I had noticed that shop and it's near my area and had thought of using them. Guess I will just keep doing everything myself.

Yes, I would of done it myself, IF i didnt work 40 hours a week and have a full load of classes..:eek:

I really wanted it done professionally, because I never went though a full swap before and really didnt have the time or experience to do it fast and right the first time around....

REALLY, if I wanted something done half assed I would attempt to do it myself.:keke:



BUT UPDATE** as of 1:15 PM Tuesday May 6th, 2008

Steve calls me, I was rather surprised, but I guess one of his buddies saw my post and told him.
Amazing how news flies....

He did not initially apologize for not returning my phone calls for nearly a week, BUT he did own up to realizing that was a bad mistake on his part.

He stated that he left at 4am for business reasons, frankly I really dont care where he went or why he left, its really none of my business, BUT it is my business to know what the HELL IS GOING ON WITH MY CAR!!

Also he left some other person or persons in charge, and they were supposed to be working while he was away, highly unlikely since my car had enough dust on it to hide in a desert, and the mailbox looked like it had enough mail for the entire block....

Moving on, I initially requested that he just pay for my rental car fees and towing, which he refused, I explained to him that I would take it to small claims court if necessary but would rather settle it now.

He seemed adamant on completing the swap today,but I am still weary of letting him complete the swap (rushing, sabotage, lost credibility)

but we agreed that he would do it and take off $200 from the original agreed price to offset my costs from car rental (after the agreed date of completion) so I am not expecting him to pay for rental on the days that i knew my car would be in the shop.

I'm still losing right around $100 bucks or so from the car rental fees, but at this rate i just need my stupid car finished....

I'm still unsure if i'm going to regret letting him complete the job that is wayyy past due...

BUT I will update you on his work, attitude and professionalism for the rest of the job.:rant:

But I will say that I will give him CREDIT that at least he owned up to fucking up despite not thinking ahead of leaving a message notifying his customers of his absence.

Serious even if this is not your main income you don't take advantage of your clients. If you know theres going to be a long waiting period for a customer to have their car done at least let him know in advance. This is one thing i cannot stand about shops/sellers in general. Leaving your customers in the dark not a good thing. But it effects you business wise as well giving you the bad rep you probably deserve. Then when you really wanna show people "what your all about" it wont matter because your previous jobs were a joke why would they want to put all faith into you now? Not putting you down but coming from a business point of view.

You know its not that I dont want to learn how to change out the motor myself, i'm too lazy or just soo ballin I dont need to do it myself.:p

But I just dont have the time.....as I stated before I work 40+ hours a week and go to school full time....

so I really only have the evening and weekends to work on it...and firing up the compressor at 10pm is the fastest way to get hated by the neighbors.....

this is all assuming that I dont fuck anything up while I'm "learning"

so I have no choice but to resort to find a shop to do it.....credibility is far and few between with shops these days...kind of sad but thats reality I suppose....

Okay. Lets be honest here. Steven won't do SHIT to your car unless A) You're a REALLY good buddy of his, B) You start filing a lawsuit/talks of filing said lawsuit, C) You have really tough ass friends that will mangle the shit outta him.

He owed me like, 300 bucks for like, 2 years, and FINALLY paid it back a while back. I'm lenient as hell, but taking 2 years to pay back 300 bucks is rediculous.

Steven actually took care of me, replaced my clutch and slave cylinder for dirt cheap, and hooked it up with some fenders for a 4 piece chicken and some mojos from shakeys. This was like a year ago, but he was very straight up and timely.

He was away for business... We have been backed up with work... We are trying to get everything settled with customer's who's cars were supposed to be done within a time limit... LOL great way to conduct buisness. Ever heard of credibility? If people are going to ask hey where did you get your swap from and the customer says at this shop called ______ and the work looks like shit, your just screwing yourself. If customers want to low ball I'd say go somewhere else because we don't do that kind of work here.

Because of the shops business practices there is alot of bad advertisment on zilvia now for all to see, I hope it was worth it.
