My 2 friends and I have spec stage 3 clutch's in our cars and we like them. As long as they are broken in properly they can take a lot of abuse and it is good for daily driving.

I cant remember which stage mine was but it was a 6-puck unsprung spec clutch. Worked bad ass, took 380whp for over a year and never slipped, and didn't feel too bad in traffic. Loved it.

Ditto. I liked mine. Never had an issue. Not a bad price either. Have you done a clutch before?

I like the clutch. But the people who you reach when you call their Customer Service are assholes. That was my experience.

They are good like wood. Like it was said. Break them in right and you're straight.

I dont like my stage 3 too much. Next time I'm just going to stick with Exedy.
Dont get me wrong, its a great clutch. It bites hard as fug, has no problem holding down the power. I just cant like slip it into gear like a stock clutch. It'll shake the whole engine/trans. It was also kind of a workout before I got my Nismo slave cyl.

I had a SPEC stage 3 in my rb25 skyline when I had it, it was an awesome clutch! But I wouldnt recomend it for anything over 300 whp.

That clutch is rated at near 600 hp..i think 550 if I remember correctly..use it they are great!!!
I have on on my S14 its lasted me 3 years..very little play though..its kinda hard on the ankles if you daily drive it a lot..
but its great for drifting..or just daily dumping the clutch..itll holdup very well..
i have it on my S14 with gt2871R
and so does my friend he has the stage 2 which is even rated at a lower 400hp and he has the 2871r turbo too with 370hp and abuses the hell outta it for a couple years now!

I had a stage 3.. 150 miles into it the pressure plate rivets failed and busted 7 holes in my bell housing.... spec only tried to humiliate me when I called and declined to replace the pressure plate under warrantee... i would stay away

I have had mine for 5 years now, but it's the 6-puck spring disc on mine, when they were like, new, just starting out on the SR scene. I believe it's now more like Stage 3+ or something like that.
Broke it in according to procedures, and it holds the power fine, but like others have said, gotta give it a bit of throttle from a stop light if you want to slip it, or just be real smooth on the clutch uptake and you can get away with a 1500rpm start without shaking the engine/trans.
Only thing that I've noticed is that, all the guys that I know that have the SPEC Stage 3 on their SRs, they all squeal on the clutch uptake in 1st. Sometimes 2nd. It's really annoying.

This is basically what I have and have to agree with the launch and squealing of the clutch. Doesn't bother me that much though, my brakes squeal pretty bad too, so I don't notice the clutch that much anymore.
I'm also using a fidenza flywheel with mine, combined with the clutch this really makes taking off in 1st on hills a challange.

last 2 posting wer totally right.. its a great clutch.. but does have very little play and does squeal a bit when in first.. but who cares..
after all you are getting a stage three for free.. thats 400 bucks worth lol..
and if your car is anything near 400 hp..it probably is loud enough for the squeal not to bother you..
and you need the stage 3s strength..
as long as you break it in the right way itll last!
