I was wondering if this car belonged to someone on the forums.
My family member just bought this car from a San Jose dealership...
Just wanted to know a little history and how/why it ended up @ this San Jose Dealership.
This car needs A LOT of work.

I think thats my friends old car, he traded it in to a dealership in el cerrito for an audi.
It had kei office coilovers, white marine personal steering wheel, yellow headlights,cal-trans orange valve cover, welded diff, spl subframe spacers, corbeu seats, and some other stuff.
Broken turn signal lever, torn up driver seat, trunk doesnt close, bogs out at start up, black front fenders, primer patches on the quarter panel, a few studs missing, thats all i remember at the moment.

How do I get a hold of this guy?
I had some questions regarding the car.
A lot of the wiring was tampered with, especially @ the ECU.
Just want to know what kind of work this car needs so we can get to the important stuff first.
The last thing I want to do is fix all the cosmetics and then find out later that the car is not safe to drive or something.
We definitely dont want to be driving with a welded diff. Might look for another diff.
BTW: Is there any photos of this car on how it looked BEFORE we bought it??
Again, thanks for the headsup

The only thing i think he did to the ecu wiring was a fuel pump kill switch (check to see if the black wire with the pink stripe was cut). I work with him. I would ask questions for you, just let me know what you would like me to ask.

If you can ask him where I should look for any problems that need to be addressed and any maintenance information such as Clutch, fluids, brakes.. orig engine or replaced engine? clean title or accidents?
why is there bondo on both quarter panels @ the exact same area? Was there a bodykit on this car or was it in an accident?
as much info would be great.
Thanks for the heads up on the wheel studs missing. Im going to take care of that ASAP.
I just want to know what this car went through.. hehe.

Ok will do.
The bondo has been there since he got the car, he did mention that the clutch did slip at times.
The brakes were replaced a little over 5 months ago, brand new pads and rotors.
How much did you guys pick it up for?
He got 3k for the trade in from the dealer.

Picked it up for $2k. How much did he get for the trade?
I wonder how it ended up in San jose when he traded it in @ El Cerrito. (Probably auctioned off).
its definitely a project.
Yes the car is hella loud!. Lol. The engine seems strong but the clutch engages really high.. not sure if thats a sign of a worn clutch. seems to bite ok.
But then again, My S14 clutch engages high too..
Can you ask your friend if he still has some left over parts? The back seat is missing along with some misc interior pieces.
