Does anyone know if a 350z trans. will bolt up to an sr ? Im sure it wont but does anyone know what it would take for this to work ? Or any other 6 speeds(OEM) I could pick up for a good price.

Just looking for an alternative to the s15.

Does the s15 trans bolt right up or is there any modification needed.

And can you do it with out a j30/s15 rear end ?

from my search. to get the 6spd to work you have to swap bell housings. also the s15 speed sensor is on the diff but, it was said in a thread that it can be done other ways.

s15 trans has no vss, therefore you need to run the s15 rear with the vss

Just get the nismo 6spd close ratio tranny. Thats the only 6spd gearbox worth to get for SR.

You wanna stick a Z33/VQ 6 speed into an SR? Mazwork makes custom housing plates for your need. I'd rather do that than go with an S15 6spd.
