I put a z32 maf in my car, a few wires were switched around at first and when the key was on it melted a little bit of them. i cut the bad wire out and rewired it correctly. set the afc to 2 in 6 out and it fired right up, went to like 2000 rpms then died and now it won't start again. i got fuel and spark and the maf was the only thing i changed on it. i tried starting it without the maf plugged in also. anyone got any ideas?

I was helping him work on it tonight, the ecu ended up being fried. we put his jwt ecu in and his 555cc injectors. now it'll start but only runs on starting fluid. we didn't touch the timing at all. but the fuel pump doesn't sound like it's supposed to, either that's shot or something in that wiring got fried. so we'll have to test the voltage at the pump tomorrow.

Check all the voltages of your sensors. Check them at sensors and also at the ECU just to eliminate any problems in the wiring harness. check your safc also because it is tied in with the maf wires.

Yeah it could've ate that safc2 also but it still should start without the maf plugged in. gl with it
