Have some records I'd like to play, but no record player. I'd like to buy one for less than a hundred. Are there any specific brands I should look for or are they all going to be about the same?

If you're looking for a record player just to listen to some stuf on vinyl I suggest looking around on craig's list or some local yard sales.

You don't need 1200's just to listen to records. Now if you wanted to start mixing, that's another story.

Agreed. I got a sick record player at goodwill. Plays all my dads stuff and mine. My pops has like every great record that came out between 68-76...so many are not in the best condition. Listened to A LOT.

I'm hoping he gives em to me soon, so I dont have to borrow one every time I'm there.

I got my old turntable I don't use anymore. It works, it's a Stanton Straight 80. If your in SD you can get the Zilvia hookup. I don't spin no more and it justs sits in a box collecting dust. Lmk.

Go to pawn shops/thrift stores if you're just looking to listen to them.
I know that KMart here had one a couple months ago that plays wax AND CD, but have not a clue what the cost was, since my wax is all now packed and is in a closet at my granny's.
