yes i have searched... nobody has quite the same problem unless i missed it...

when im driving at night with my lights on and i press the brake pedal my brake lights come on and then dim to almost nothing...then when i release the brake everything comes back on...to start they run really dim without pressing the brake so im kinda lost.

im assuming it was a bad ground but i checked all my grounds and my fuses and my relays... there has to be a ground im missing....does anyone have any ideas or know of a problem like this?

please be constructive

go to autozone and have your Alternator Checked

if all your lights are dim, including your dash lights, headlights and brake lights then yeah your alternator could be going. but if it's just your brake lights then it could be something more. have you cleaned the light bulg sockets, especially the contacts themselves. . I know mine had some corrosion. sometimes it would not make a good connection.

I think it sounds like its a problem that is originating from the sending end, not the recieveing end. meaning it might be pedal and relay thing, not a tail light, bulb issue.
