So I'm thinking about painting the chrome pieces on my headlights a flat black and smoking my turn signals and amber corners. I've circled where I'm talking about:

I'm wondering what kind of paint people have used to paint the chrome pieces and do the chrome pieces separate from the headlight itself so I wouldn't have to mask everything off? As for smoking the signals and corners what would yall recommend? Use some sort of paint on the inside or a film on the outside? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!:D

don't they sell black housed kouki head lights? why do you want to do that anyway?? Looks? I don't think it looks that great....

Just sand down the chrome parts a little with some high grit sandpaper to help the paint stick more. Use normal paint i have done this tons of times with normal paint without problems

I think he means the ebay vertex shit. Just use regular paint, it looks sweet on darker koukis. Mines white or else I'd try it, anyone ever do another color or would it be pointless?

I was planning to use some sort of high temp paint just in case. How about the chrome piece itself though? Does it detach from the headlight or am I going to have to mask everything off. I've taken apart several different headlights before, just not my own, lol...
