my dad used to tell me about north dakota, and how the drifts would completely cover the houses and you have to dig a tunnel to get out.

who would live in a place like that on purpose? that's fucking stupid

Hi I live in LA.

We have spring all year round.

Don't you wish you live here?

lol

haha...i wouldnt live here on purpose, my dad got stationed here around 16 years ago (i am 24 now). I personally would not choose here to live. however i got married, and since the inlaws live here...im stuck :eek3: so by far...not a personal choice.

and yes Andrew, South Dakota is very much like your dads stories... when i first moved here, we had a storm that dropped right around 6ft on us. we had anywhere from 10-30ft snow drifts. I remember my dad having me crawl out the 2nd story window so i could take pictures...lol 2 days of shoveling and we finally were able to get out of the house...recently though (past few years) we only get our major snows in april-may..so...who the hell knows...

its global warming...lol

I'm glad it didn't snow in Michigan the other morning it got down in the 30's.

It's fucking April!

April showers bring May flowers.

April blizzards rape May flowers.

haha, you have me all wrong, i like the snow, just when snow is moving at 60mph, all you get is drifts, drifts you cant even play in with vehicles. I love snowboarding, however when it snows like that all you can do is maybe snow board off the back of your house...lol..

and go to find out, it wasnt my fault my toyota got stuck...a snow plow, plowed out a parking lot, and left his pile in the middle of the street. 4 hours after i got stuck it cleared up and was sunny, i went and got it out to find out that i hit a snow plow pile in the middle of the street...douche...however after the storm i went tramping around picking people up.

so you're pretty much making a bold statement about his fiancee....

anyways, that weather is nuts and I would go mad dealing with that. Any chance you'd convince your wifey to move out? Landing a decent job and opening the doors to some opportunity would help persuade them.

I think these pictures are the reason why the population of north and south dakota added up are less than the entire population of the shithole town I live in.
sory you live in a place with shitty weather. do they pay you to live there?

driftking777
05-04-2008, 11:16 AM
just a little tid bit ;)

Rapid City holds two weather records — fastest temperature rise of 49 °F (27 °C) in 2 minutes on January 22, 1943 and fastest temperature drop of 47 °F (26 °C) in 5 minutes on January 10, 1911.

and yea the population of my town is right around 69,000...pretty funny when most suburbs have a larger population..lol

^^^ funny you mention this... i have one incendent with car thieves. i had my BMW, and my SR 240 sitting at the end of my driveway (both unlocked at the time) and my fathers 93 pos lumina sitting in front of my garage (as you can see from the pic of my house, my driveway is decently long.) however some kids decided to steal the lumina but never touched the bmw with custom sound system ect, or my 240 with custom sound system...people are stupid sometimes... either that or im really lucky.
