gotfrag is blocked at work, I'm bored, its friday, I just want to hear some stories and see whos playing at a high level.

Ive been playing CS since 1.0, I hadnt touched it in over a year, but last night I got so baked and had nothign to do so a buddy and I went to a LAN center and PUG'ed with some fellahs, and as I literally was tearing people up, I decided I would buy a new vid card and start playing again.

2.6ghz p4/2gbRAM, I should be able to get good rates with a diesel card and lowest settings right? I have a radeon 9600 pro or soemthing now, I think I used to play source on this box, cant remembers its been so long...

no scope shooting had a crosshair and shot perfectly straight.
the M4 had a scope and was permanently silenced.
jump shooting and bunny hopping was deadly.
the sig p228 pistol was even more powerful than the deagle.

I remember most of those. I remember the patch that added the auto shotgun, and also the 10 billion variations of CS_assault :p

wow... i remember the days.. had hl.. download cs mod.. dial up, then waiting forever to load up a good server.. then waste hours playing.. then after school there was a game cafe, would meet up with a bunch of school mates and beat the shit out of em since FPS was kinda new to them lol...

my computer is good enough and I still prefer 1.6 in terms of gameplay

I gave up playing cs.. people couldn't understand that someone could be better then them (even when I have a low six digit steam id, id was told I just bought it on ebay).. Ive played on and off since 01.. Two seasons in cal-im, one in cal-m... countless seasons of cal-o/ogl-o
The last time I picked CS back up and I found a server that would actually register my bullets; two days later id get banned..

i dont know about noob cannon maybe auto snipe or auto shotty i think it takes skill to use the awp and desert eagle combo yes i know lots do it but i like it as well but i love getting down with the AK as well i'm about to leave work and go buy a new vid card anyway any suggestions?? mine wnet to shit yesterday and all my display setting are on low and wont change back to high so everything is mad big!!

one of the big problems with source which i dont know if it was fixed or not, was the HIT BOXES were WAY off. you can headshot someone with your crosshair almost an inch away. very inaccurate.. but source is fun because it feels like CS 1.5 which IMO was the best.

I too love the ak shit is sicc and awp does take some skill but in general is easy to get a kill. I just bought a new EVGA 9600GT from N*wegg.com and is great for the price of 170 and is comparable to the 8800 series cards only i think is better 512mb of video ram and a 256bit card :yum: . you wont be disappointed with it.

Yea i love having over 100fps constantly really makes the game enjoyable.
Shit i woulda multi quoted but i just saw the button how too :(. But anyways i dont have a server up all the time but i am more than willing to use create a game that all us guys on zilvia can join in on. If we can get some guys to meet up on friday night at that time would be great im on PST so its early for me :D. just let me know.
