Hrmm okay so for the record would an FMU be SAFC? and do I need one if I get Emanage tuned? I also heard I need an Wideband, A/F gauge and knock sensor with the Piggyback system is this true? Or does the SAFC connect to the piggyback. Can someone give me a brand of the FMU so i can google it and read up on it.

This is one of those threads that shouldn't exist.

But, I'll help you a little.

The Emanage and SAFC essentially do the same thing.

FMU is fuel management unit. There are also FPR's, fuel pressure regulators.

Both EManage and SAFC are piggybacks.

The Emanage is a little more advanced than the SAFC.

The SAFC has a "knock sensor," but I think it sucks, and you should get something else. It just uses the stock sensor.

For a wideband, get a JAW, and I would get a wideband.

Emanage > SAFC

Wideband is a type of A/F gauge (you don't want the type that just shows lean or rich, they are pretty worthless). Widebands show the actual ratio number (good).

Piggyback means its a computer that does not replace your ECU, it just connects to it and alters the signal. SAFC and Emanage are both piggybacks.
