I searched and found nothing, whats the best way to shave the raised lettering on the rear of the s13 coupe? I'm assuming just grind it down but want to make sure before I go hacking away at it.

That's just a sticker. Heat it up and use a credit card, razor(carefully) or floss and clean up with some wax/goo gone.

Yeah, just a sticker. Mine eventually came off by itself.

Put that grinder away.

grind it down? shit man wants to get real serious about it. You probably don't even need to heat it up. I picked mine off with my fingernails..

LOLOL. Don't grind it. You can heat it up if it's too hard to get it off. But you can use dental floss or a razor blade and some goof off like someone else mentioned.

The best way is to get a hair dryer, some fishing line, and when everything is off, you will need s good polishing compound to remove the glue polymer that Nissan used for adhesive. Do not use gum-out like mentioned above, or any other harsh solvent- this is a car, not a bathroom.

lol I feel like a douche now I took a screwdriver to it and it seemed pretty tough so I figured it wasn't a sticker. I'll just take a razor blade to it I don't care about scratching up that part its getting repainted anyway

Hahaha. Everyone needs a dose of humility now and again. Your being a good sport about it. Alot of people would have never come back or ripped on a few people before being banned.

Gonna go outside and do mine right now. It's been getting on my nerves lately esp since the "x" is broken in half. It should look better anyway. The coupe is so rare around here nobody knows what my car is till they read the back. I'll have that fixed in a few minutes.

get 3M adhesive remover and a blowdryer...blowdry the adhesive till it gets tacky with a rag rub it off. whatever is left over let it cool and the 3M adhesive remover will take care of the rest...i suggest it being cool for the 3M A.R.

lol.. i also saw "shaving" and thought shaving tires..

I have to say.. I was a bit disappointed, lol.

BTW, they make "goo-gone" for automotive use.
Buy it. Use it. Cherish it.

heat the area with a heatgun

do your best to get the emblem off..a thin string of wire or dental floss may work.

after you get the emblem off you will most likely have some residue, which can be removed with most any adhesive remover.

good luck :)

Get a small putty knife(or blade...watever they call it.) 1.5in wide then put duct tape on it and fold it over the edge. Then get a heat gun or blow drier and let it hat up the glue a little then use the putty knife to peel off the lettering slowly so the paint doesnt get damaged. After that you just get an adhesive remover and your done.:rawk:
