i was just looking at my engine bay and i noticed this and was wondering what it does (the thing in the middle of the light). sorry about the picture quality.

Ummm, if he doesn't know what it is, he's probably not going to know the acronym. MAFS stands for Mass Air Flow Sensor, and it's the thing that measures how much air is going in to your motor. It uses a hot wire to see how much air is flowing by, and by how much the wire cools down, it translates that into a voltage. That signal is read by the ECU (Engine Control Unit) which in turn sends information to the fuel injectors about how much fuel to spray.
Don't take it out. yea thats what i figured. i noticed its made by unisia jecs. our radiators are made by calsonic, as are our cats. interesting stuff.
