ATPTurbo Coolant Fittings - 1/4" NPT? Not quite

I bought a couple coolant adapters to go from the 14mm Banjo on a T25/28 to 1/4" NPT. Well, I've taken the fitting into every parts store I can find and haven't found a fitting that will fit it. Lowes, Home Depot, Napa, O' Reilly's, etc. No one has ANY thread that will actually go more than half a turn into it.

What's the deal? Is there something I don't know about these? Maybe I'm just stupid.

Its my birthday though... So yay. Survied another year.

they are probally 6an. do the threads just end? or do they have a smooth dome like tip?

i THINK i have the same adaptors you have... they wont screw in all the way, its a tapered design..

Found a fitting that will work. Its a 1/2"-20 fitting. Pepboys actually had it. But it was a very oddly packaged, weird size. Brake line type of fitting.

Making some custom shit, prepare for awesomeness.
