So the story goes:
My mom's 98 corolla needed a new ps pump in feb [costed her $600], and now it needs new ps hoses [will cost $300] so she said screw this and decided to get a new car.

After looking at a yaris, corolla, fit, civic, and sentra, we settled on a loaded up WHITE versa hatch with the CVT, Tech and Sport package.
It's gonna be have more options than our 06 civic EX and be almost as cool as my 91 180sx lol.

The dealership applied the financing under my name with her as a co-signer. This way we get the student grad program's 0.65% financing, $600 off sticker price, and 4 free oil changes!

We also got another $500 off, and free underbody coating to shield the dirt/salt/snow that blesses Winnipeg streets.

They were gonna put on free nismo decals on the hood and front fenders just like the real nismo versa, but ran outta decals, so she get a free white nismo shirt instead. Yea I know there isnt a single nismo product on the car, it was just sposed to be funny. Don't hate!

We picked up the car on monday. I got some 17" white Volk GT-C knock offs [yea I know...] for it and made a secret deal with the dealership to have them mounted on the car. SURPRISE MOM!

Car needs to be slammed and get better offsets:

Here she is chilling with big brother.

Things my mom has that I don't:
- Bigger rims than me
- Body kit [factory, but still...] and power sunroof
- 6 Speakers, 280w sub, 6 disc mp3 changer, AUX
- bluetooth and steering wheel mounted controls
- Leather steering wheel, [fake] carbon fibre dash/shifter
- 38 mpg city!

Mom loves the wheels, but was pissed I didnt negotiate a better deal for them. Asians...

Is it bad if I wanna drive it isntead of the 180sx?

Wheels look small on that Versa.

Fits are super nice.

Not like the Yaris, yuck.

why does your mom's ride have a lower ride height than yours? :keke:

test drove both the Fit and Versa recently. I would have to say the versa has a bit more room and feels a bit more comfortable. However, the Fit's suspension, clutch and shifter are a bit better sorted out. Its a lot of fun to drive. I like the Fit more myself.

You can't really go wrong with either choice, but for the average person out there who just wants something comfy and efficient, the Versa might be more appealing.

Mom's car sits a bit lower and the wheels look tiny because they are Only a 40 sidewall, it should have a 45 or maybe even 50. Yea I know the speedo will be faster than the car, and that the odometer will read a bit higher, thats ok cuz its only gonna be on til august when I swap it back to stock wheels for "winter mode". I'll get her some beefier tires for next summer... or maybe 18's hmmmmmmm...

Mom's car is getting raised!

Serious its going up like 3/4 an inch. When I bought the rims off my friend they were 200sx sizing at 23 inchs using a stretched 205/40/17.

Found out one of the tires is shot so I just got some 215/45/17 summer tires and they should bring the car to something like 24.5 inches, which is closer to OEM size of 24.3 inches.

The wider tires and thicker sidewall should fill out the wheel wells better and provide mom with a more comfy ride. Also, the speedo will be more accurate [it was faster by ~3.3%, but should be slower by 1.5% now] and also the odometer will read less kms.

Keeping the stock OEM 15" rims and 185 tires bagged up in my basement. Gonna save em for winter. According to rally logic, the narrow ass tires should eat into the snow and provide more traction... Goitta keep mom safe!

Will mount and take pics tommorrow! And too all you guys saying it needs to be lowered, I agree and I will be getting some tanabe springs once I sell my s13 s-techs.
