So I go out to my car this morning. Car just wouldn't start. Its a single cam. The only odd thing is a huming/buzing sound coming from the fuel rail area. It has a new fuel pump so I know its not that. I'm lost. Someone help. Please.
Thanks

i doubt it would be the fpr. pull the fuel rail off and try to start the car and see if the injectors fire. can you hear the pump prime? have you checked for spark yet?

I have spark. The noise is coming from in between the intake manifold and the fuel rail. Its not the vacume cylinder thing on top or the egr cylinder its underneath the one on top. It has a connection on it like the fuel injectors. I'm not intirely sure about what it is. I can't check for fuel pressure as I have no tools with me because I let a friend borrow them. If anyone knows what it is let me know.

you might be able to pull the fuel line off the top of the fuel filter and see if gas pumps out when you turn it over. It will leak out, but you will know if its working when it pumps out.
probably not the prob, but easy to do with no tools and its a start and one less problem.
Is it stick?? you try poping the clutch??
when you try and tirn it over for awhile, does it smell flooded??
Your oil and everything ok?? didnt run it with no oil and cease the engine (very rare and odd, but possable?) (put in in nuetral, grab the belts/fan and see if you can get it to rotate a bit, incase it might be a issue)
Do any work recently besides the fuel pump, and did it work after you fixed it??
out of gas/gas gauge broken?? (dont worry, i did it once, very embaressing after a week of problem solving, figured out the gauge was wrong, and I was retarded)
BTW, these are all ideas for you to do with no tools.
get your tools and we can give you a good size list to get it solved.

I checked for spark this morning but not for fuel. I know I'm not out of gas.havnt messed with anything under the hood in awhile. The noise is coming from the aic valve. I don't see how that would keep my car from running. I'm working on it all morning though so any ideas are more than appreciate it.
Thanks

well, you probably looked all over for hoses that arent connected?
is it manual? can you pop the clutch and basically force it to run??

I have looked for everything. No disconnected lines anywhere. I don't see how push starting it will fix a problem. I feel like it won't work and if it does the problem is just going to happen again once I turn the car off. Lol.
I'm going to go work on it now.
Call me with any ideas.
Thanks

Well. I'm not geting fuel but it doesn't make any since. My fuel pump is a brand new walbero. Its been in my car for a month. The fuse is good. I don't have a multitester to check where I'm not getting power or if its just the pump itself. Any ideas would be amazing.
Thanks

^thats why i wanted you to try and pop it. It will either turn on or not. but it eliminates alot of possible problems.
Are you sure its pumping?? Take the fuel line off the top of the filter or intake. put the end of it in a empty 20oz bottle and set it in the engine bay upright. if you place it right, you can see it between the the hood and the car while you try and start it. does fuel pump into it?? If not, its a fuel pump/out of gas issue.
try that, and get back to us.
