so noticed it happening more and more lately. its a 96 ka24de in my s13 running all s13 electronics obd1.
but when the car is warm and i drive, and then pull to a stop sign or something and clutch in, my idle dips way down to like 200 and then comes up to around 600 and idles rough, only does this when warm.
i dont know what to think. also where is the PCV valve on the ka24de.

try to clean your IACV with some intake cleaner, it might be dirty causing your idle to drop very low. also check your coolant temp. sensor.
search a little on here, i have the same problem and im trying to fix it at the moment :/

ok i know what the iacv is but where is it on the ka? also i know there are 2 different temp sensors, 1 for the gauge and 1 for the ecu. my guage sometimes goes wacky when its warming up i just noticed.
i will try cleaning the IACV

the IACV it towards the back of the intake manifold, where the idle screw is.
and you might want to change those 2 CTS sensor, they are like 20 a piece.
while your at it, check for any vaccum leaks, it can also cause bad idle.

cool im going to add this to my list of too do this weekend, as well as motor mounts are on my list.
i will also grab the coolant sensors and get those changed out. this motor was swapped in the car before i got it, its a 96 ka, runs good but it needs work. im also going to see about a PCV valve lol i heard they are a pain in the ass
