ok motor is a retop, retop harness, blacktop pfc.
everything is fine with stock ecu plugged in. I hear the relay click on and the fuel pump primes.
with the pfc, it didn't even power up, and no fuel pump prime.
I had no power from the eccs/egi? relay. I fed the pfc ignition power to where it was missing. pfc now powers up, car starts and is drivable. but the pfc doesn't save changes. I know that it needs power just alil longer after the car is shut off to save the info.where does it need that power? I have constant power at the ecu backup pin all the time. which is correct right?
now my question is how do I acomplish the power staying on long enough to save the info or where am I missing power so it happens? does the ecu send a signal to the signal that turns it on or off or is it an ignition source outside of the ecu that activates the relay? I've searched and theres no real answer even though other people have had the same problem. Also the car was orignially an automatic if it matters.
