need help, car wont start!!

my automatic 1995 240sx wont start. i just bought this 240 and now its dead. when i turn the ignition i hear nothing at all. i can still turn on headlights and radio tho. before when i could start it up, it had other problems, when the engine was on and when it was idle the car shakes like its about to die and i can see black smoke coming out of exhuast. need help, my car is dead!!!

Do you hear your fuel pump turn on when you try to start the car?
It could be either the pump, starter, burnt fuse, or a plethora of other things.
Black smoke isn't a good sign either...

do the basic stuff like..your alternator take it off and get it checked at autozone..look at all ur fuses in ur fuse box..look at the 75a fuse closely..if it still dosent work get a fsm or use the search button..

Check your fuses.

Yup, fuses and fusable links. Check the manual for locations. Once you hear clicks/the fuel pump coming on, if the car still doesn't start, then post again.

make sure the battery cables are tight.

also check all your grounds it might of gotten loose..did you check if u have power going to your starter?..have u jump started it?
