Need help trying to figure out which ring goes where. Wondering if there is a better diagram to install the rings or if anyone here already knows how to do it. The diagram that came with the pistons did not help at all...WORTHLESS

have a reputable machine shop do your block. turbo tolerances are a bit different than na. there are quite a few shops state side like mazworx, xat,ma motorsports that can do the work and will do it right. no reason to throw a 1k bottom end in the trash because something was installed wrong. just my 2 cents. i dont know ring placement because i dont want to know. i pay 4 piece of mind.

In order from top to bottom, all N's face up:
1.The thick stainless ring with no notch in it goes on top.
2.The darker colored thick ring with a notch, or setp on one outter edge goes in the next groove
3.oil control retainer ring
4.oil control ring
5.oil control retainer ring

Putting a motor together is easy, just make sure you do it right, But If your having trouble figuring out ring placement, I would recommend you find someone who has done it before to help you.
I mean yea dude up there told you the placement, but you have to have the notches at different positions, or your compression will be shit. Also, alot of times with rings you have to file fit the as well.
