I got my sparco pro 2000 with Bride FG rails installed in my S14 last night. I have it at it's lowest setting and tilted back slightly and I noticed that the seat is pushed more towards the door than centered on the steering wheel. This wouldn't be a huge deal, but the seat hits my door panel and is about 3/4" over too far. I played with the adjustments on the Bride rails and it appears the only way to be able to slide it side to side is to have the seat at it's highest position. That way when you adjust it side to side the seat itself is sitting above the rails. I don't want to raise the seat up to it's highest since then I would have about 3/8" clearance with a helmet on.
Any ideas? Do the NAMS rails sit more centered?

i have a sparco evo on fg rails
in my s14 if the seat rails are off just by one notch on either side it hits the door real bad. even when they are perfect, the evo hits the door about .25in. its annoying at first. but its kinda like new shoes and you gotta break that bitch ass door panel in lol im bored and hungover so i take picture for you
heres the indentation on the door panel

I have a feeling that this is just how it's gonna be. The seat HAS to sit in between the rails, and the rails HAVE to bolt into the car. So basically the seat is hitting the rails, it can't move side to side. I just wanted to see if I installed them incorrectly, but it looks like they are in right. As for the evo seat hitting about 1/4" than the Pro2000 would hit more since the shoulders are slightly wider.
So it looks like these are my options:
1)Move seat higher so I can slide it over
2) Remove door panel
3) Dent in door panel to fit seat.

Meh, door panels are for sissies anyways! A REAL man's interior consists of only a dash with gaping holes where things you don't need used to mount, and of course at least one (but no more than two) seats. LOL! Seriously though it sounds like you are either going to have to modify the mounting brackets or the door panel.

well the pic you posted would have the seat leaning forward no? i have my seat in the middle slot on the front mount and the lowest one in the back. looks like you have the exact opposite. try switching it around and the ears will sit a tad lower. and just closing the door will push the panel just the right amount so you dont have to get wild denting it in yourself

I thought that this was only a problem with S13s but apparently its an issue with s14's too.
I have a sparco evo on bride fg rails in my s13 and it sits about an inch to the left of the steering wheel. It's frustrating, but as you said, there is absolutely nothing you can do about it unless you mount the seat so that it is not between the rails but above. I got lucky and the shoulder wing clears the door panel by about 1mm haha.
Best option is custom brackets with no sliders.

I pulled the panel off and took a heat gun to it. Warmed the plastic up enough so that I could form it around a tennis ball so it at least looks halfway decent. Just a couple more tweaks and I should be done. I guess I'll just have to get used to sitting a little off centered, it's just kind of awkward right now. Thanks guys.

I have the same problem with my s14 and evo seat. Nothing you can really do about it being off centered unless you get some custom rails.

I'll take a picture in a few minutes of my modified bride seat rail. Its now on center with the steering wheel, and doesn't hit the door panel.
EDIT: pictures are fun for everyone!
its for a bottom mount bride rail, but the same concept could be used for your seat. You'll just need to modify that $$$ new bracket you got ("but it takes a real man to cut em up")
