accident during lunch

so today while i was talking to the owner at the sandwhich shop we suddenly hear a screeching sound followed by a loud BOOM right afterwards. we were like wtf?!? and as we stepped outside, i see this lady in a bmw 5series attempting to reverse (i assume since she was in a parking spot) just ripping her tires, smokes every, and all of a sudden she hops the curb, runs OVER a parking meter and hits the glasses shop right next door. she tries to get out of it but doesnt realize shes still in D and when she gases, it just made things a little worst. she then hits the brakes and i open the door to put the car is park (as the old man/passenger looks at me funny) and a few people help the passenger and driver out. driver was pretty shaken up, looked like she almost fainted as she got out. passenger was fine and the shop had little damage nothing major, thanks to the lower cement wall, only ended up with a little cracked glass.

passed by the scene a couple hours later just to take a look and the parking meter was parallel with the sidewalk,,should taken a pic but o well

I fail to see how my mom would be a bad driver when shes over 50, drives a manual Z3 daily, drives over 70-80 on the freeway (100+ in the family's Titan on Las Vegas trips, LOL), manages not to have an accident last 10 years, and has never been cited for a moving violation..... Hmmmm. Oh shnap.

I'd say teenagers, sleepy, and drunk drivers are the cause of most stupid accidents.
