Tomorrowim gna be getting an exedy stage 2 (4-puck) clutch in my s14 and i was gna take advantage of having the day open to be able to change my engine oil and transmission fluid. I was wondering wat would be the best way to go / what brand to use aand type. im currently running Royal Purple in my car and didnt know if i should switch to another brand to see how it would work out. For the trnsmission i was thinking of gong with redline but im not sure about it or what type to use so if you could help me out that would be great. i'm also curious as to what you guys recommend for tranny oil in an RB25. I've heard of many people using both MT90 and the Heavy Shockproof oil (both from redline).

Damn, that shit's expensive though!! I guess i'm willing to pay $40 to ensure the longevity of my transmission, but if you guys have any cheaper alternatives i'm up to suggestions

Also, any experience to help me decide between the MT90 and heavy shockproof....since i'll probably end up going with one of those

i went Redline MT-90 for the tranny and some other redline for the diff (even though its welded)

Castrol syntec... go synthetic... and Castrol is the shit, strictly.

My family mechanic is the man and swears by it. i don't know if its the best for performance, but it protects your engine. I do a lot of driving and have 2 100k+ cars with strong motors that I'm sure Castrol has had a part in keeping them that way.
