View Full Version : I quit my job.
Well, I quit my job. Worked for a computer company for 2 1/2 years, finally just got tired of it and quit (put in my 2 weeks). Normally i'd be bussy from when I wake up to when I go to bed (work and school then homework/study) but now I've got free time...and no money. I need another job...bad. What is a good place to work that I can go to and not really care about? A job that once I leave, will be totally out of my life until I go back the next day.
Something pretty easy that pays...well that doesn't matter to much. over $6 and I'll take it.
ladeda...think i'll go wash the car cauz i've got nothin to do.

Man your living my dream! One day I'm gonna get paid to do absolutly nothing but get fat and watch TV. I can't wait!
Malls are hiring for the christmas season. That's always a good place to get some money. Plus temp agency's always pay well up to 15bux an hour plus you make your own schedule.
G'luck

Become a janitor. Its very easy and you don't have to deal with stupid people. You can also work in a department store where you work in stocking.
Good luck.

UPS is hiring. I just got a job there unloading packages. I just think of it as 3.5 hours of getting my ass whooped! Actually it's not that bad. Once you leave you don't have to worry about it until the next day. Plus all weekends off.

I have worked many jobs. Let me tell u....retail sucks. But i worked at a bank the last 2 summers and it wasnt that bad. Photopied suff, filed some stuff, sent some letters.....usual paperwork stuff. Somtimes boring but you get your own PC and fone and desk so its not bad. $11/hour for busy work is great i think.. An there are really no deadlines just as long as you get the work done, it doesnt matter. go home with no worries. Oh well. Have fun finding a job!

I work at a check cashing and loan place and i do nothing all day. I have about 3 people a day on average. There is a body shop next door which is where i spend most of my time. It pays pretty good too.

Any job will come home with you if you let it. Don't - chicks do that. Such a bad idea.
Now go get to work - you need money for track stuff!

I'd recommend against UPS...at least the warehouse stuff. I had a friend who worked there until an 8 foot wall of boxes full of monitors/computers fell on him (it was the fault of one of the other workers). Now he has back problems and UPS didn't give him any type of comp...

ahh yes. having no job is fun. spend more time with the car, find parts under the hood you've never really paid attention too, wash the car more often and drive aimlessly when there's no traffic, stay up till 4am, get up at 12pm. that was the life. and i did that 3 times with the longest stretch without having a job was 8 months. i had enough saved up for a complete turbo kit but that all went bye bye. but it was a much needed break. i've been at my job for one year and one month.
anyhoo. UPS and FedEx i didn't like. i walked out on both jobs. when at fedex, i fractured my thumb by smashing it between two 100lbs barrells. and my manager didn't care so i said see ya. i'd work at home depot or something.

Let me tell you, I have had a million jobs since I was 14. Worked on a tree nursery, worked on a cow farm, swept up amusment parks, sold siding over the phone. Went door to door built shopping mall stores, wired the ceiling of a Giant, did customer support for ATT, polls for the Republican party, Bartender back. and now finally at 22 I have found my favorite job. Dishwasher.
Nobody bugs me about anything, I know exactly what i have to do each day, I make 7 bucks a hour, it's 3 miles from my house, I can eat as much as I want, some of the waitresses are pretty damn hot.
Ever seen the movie office space or fight club or falling down? That's why I seprate my work from my mind. I can think of anything that i want while i work, i am practicly medatating. sometimes you have to take your life extremely serious and give your mind a break to focus. I've gone to college for a couple of years, 2 different places. and now i just need some time to think, without interruptions or crazy bosses, or progress reports and product statistics.

I work at the food court in Target 8.25 starting pay in the food court. I now earn 8.50 an hour. Although you have to work with people sometimes, you are almost always working with someone else and you can have them work the cashier. All I do is wash dishes and cook hamburgers : P
edit: oh yeah by the way I am 16 almost 17 years old
