Just wondered if any of you have had this problem. When I go to start my car but not everytime, it start up for a second and then die. Then when i go to crank it again it will just keep cranking, but if i give it gas will start but run like shit. Sounds like its missing or something. It will die if i dont give it gas but if i keep it alive for 5 seconds then it will idle and run fine. It seems to run rich. I burn an 1/8 of a tank going 50 miles, that seems horrible. Its a 100% stock sohc. Thanks in advance.

Maybe it's your injectors.Start it up for a min. and then pull your spark plugs and see which one is wet. When you figure out which one pull your injectors and check for cracks in the plastic if it's good it could be just your 0-rings and just replace them all.
It's very Important to change your oil before you start driving it again.

I was thinking about buying an o-ring kit but it happens on and off. It hasnt happened the past 2 days.

I don't think it would be injector problem then if it only happens on and off.

now it happened only once yesterday. I kept cranking it and when i would give it some gas then it just started to shake really harshly on the verge of starting. I had to do that for like 5 min (not straight obviously).

it might be your vacuum lines, I remember having the same problem and when I look at the hoes going to the intake manifold it ripped real bad so all I did was replace them..
Or it could be a electric problem.. I had a problem with mines doing the same think agian and that was because I made a wire coming from the coil pack going to the cluster to make my rpm work.. and the wire was black tape together and one day it came off and the wire was grounding off each other making it not stay on but start..
don't know if this would help..
Just wanna help a fellow zilvilian out
