260z with V8

A 2000 pound car with a engine out of a newer camaro or vette with over 300 HP, I can see it running 11's.

If it's an LS1 I can see it.  if it's a LT1 I'd have problems.  LS1 would definately be in 11's.

been done many times before here in cali. as far as the wieght of that car though I would put in the 2500lb catagory stripped 260z's were 2975-3100lb cars roughly stock.

260Z have never wieghed that much stock (even the 2+2 autos)

74Z=2665 lbs

Strip it and it should be around 2000 I would think, since the 260 lugged around more accessories then a 240Z which weighs less.

dude, I have been over this before about that website. the figures that guy posted were for prepped track cars not street vehicles . I know I bought and sold stock z cars back in the 80's. I dealt with Far Performance and numerous other Z tuners in the San Francisco bay area. Go to Nissan North America and get your figures straight they did not reduce the weight of the 260z in 1974 when federal crash safty standards were only getting more stringent. A 1973 240z weighed in at 2900lbs and that is a documented fact . 260Z's had heavier bumpers. If you want I could even go get a pic of manufacturing plate off a local 260z and show you.
Now in Japan there is a possibility they could have been that light but not in North America.

Like I said before check your info with Nissan North America. and that page you posted had nothing to do with Car and Driver. Even if it did those are not street car weights.
I know my car weights. You guys want to keep on fooling yourselves &nbsp;about this and spreading misinformation go right ahead, but you CA18guy &nbsp;know better and I expected better from you.
