I was initially in the market for a Circuit Sports exhaust for the stockish look but after searching it on youtube, I found out that it's pretty damn loud. I currently have a Blitz Nur Spec which sounds badass but it's also very VERY loud. So after a little more searching I came across the Megan Racing Type 2 (http://www.hopupracing.com/meracasyty2b.html). (http://www.hopupracing.com/meracasyty2b.html) I can't find any clips of the exhaust anywhere so I was wondering if any of you guys have had experiences with it.
After recently finding out that exhaust tickets are now no longer fix it tickets in California, I'm trying to get a new exhaust as soon as possible.

i love the way the nur sounds but it's so damn loud. especially since exhaust tickets are no longer fix it tickets. i'm looking for any stock looking exhaust that's sounds nice but quiet as well.

if anything i've heard that the megan type 2 will be louder than the circuit sports, and they are both usually backordered to all hell, sam at jspec was telling me he helped design one of em i believe to go for the best stock look. oh and about the nur spec that thing sounds awesome in person mmmmmm

here is a circut sports. Sounds like shit to me. Can you put a silencer in ur nur? if so just do that instead of buying one of these. or go and make your own custom stock looking exhaust.

yes, yes it does. Sounds way too muffled. not free flowing at all.
Megan products aren't good at all. Just take the advice of ^^^ and get a baffle. It'll make noise go down to 0 and you could just take iti off on the track. I got one on my Apexi

just get one tucked with the outlet pointed towards the ground. A tucked exhaust has all but lost it's popularity but is a good way to hide what exhaust you have.

How about a stock exhaust gutted? 3" cat with 2.5" piping to the stock gutted muffler. Or you could put another resanator on ur nur to quite it down.

yea i'm not really a fan of tucked exhausts myself. and it'd still be loud as hell. i have custom piping on my exhaust and there are no resonators so it's louder than loud. oh and the .car has an sr

a resonator will help. Hell you outta atleast give it a try. its got to be cheaper than buying a 300+ exhaust.

having a fart can muffler stuffed up under the bumper looks completely retarded. it's the "i got my stock muffler chopped off and this slapped on at Car-X" look.

meagan 2 doesnt look too bad though...
looks like its missing a resonator, just weld one in and should be good to go

If you want a quiet exhaust invest in a Fujitsubo. Top notch quality on the welds and metal, and they are smooth sounding and free flowing. Expensive but worth it, I have one in my car.

I had Megan 2 before, will you have a SR then Megan are go to good with cheap price then Circuit Sports and sound is not bad at all, when you hit 3000 above they get really loud.. and YES i did got a fix ticket for it.
I also going for the Circuit Sports dual as well... with the stock look and sounds better than Megan type 2 in person. So i think im goint o try the Circuit Sports Dual.

ditto i'm running the tanabe border III and its relatively quiet on my na sohc, with an sr i would imagine it would be even more quiet, looks similiar to a stock muffler if you painted the canister flat black, i like it because its a step away from the norm

I just installed a megan type 2 and I love it! The difference between the circuit sports and the megan is the circuit sports has a resonator and the megan doesnt. The muffler is basically the same.
To give you a better idea I have a rb25det with syko performance elbow, 3" sr downpipe, catco 3" high flow cat and the megan 2. I was driving next to a motorcycle cop downtown yesterday and he didnt even look. The exhaust has a nice deep tone and is not very loud at all. Of course it will sound very different with a ka or sr.
I think the megan looks more stealthy because it's painted black. Hope this helps.

just got my 240 with the megan type 2 on it already. its definitely not "stock" sound level but it is on the quieter side at idle and low rpms. higher up it opens up

if you're looking for a quiet, yet aggressive exhaust, look into the a'pexi NIOR. Designed to be a little bit more low key than the N1 and GT models, but still has an aggressive tone to it.
