You probably mean viscous differential. If the diff has been beaten on for a while, you might need to replace the clutch plates. How much use has it gotten and how often has the oil been changed?

FYI, your supposed to be changing that gear oil pretty frequently with LSD oil or putting LSD additive into mobil1/redline(already has additive iirc)/RP
those diffs are race only and its retarded to put them in a street car... i believe you change the diff oil whenever you change the motor oil

its not retarded. you act like people are beating the hell out of their car just to get to the grocery store. if you drive normal, whats the problem? nothing.
just make sure you stay on top of the oil changes.

if your going to drive normal, whats the point of getting a 2 way? just get a standard viscous, its 1/4 of the price, and doesnt require nearly the maintenance

Can you leave this website and never come back. O, and sell your car because it requires more maintenance than walking or taking public transportation and it costs way less.

Swapping out gear oil takes like 20-30 minutes. You only have to swap it out every 3 or 4 months of daily driving + track duty. If you don't have that kind of time, you need a new hobby. And I'm serious about you leaving. Do us all a favor because we like "racing" differentials in our street cars. You've never used a 2-way so go take your hearsay to another forum where people might actually believe you.

HOT DAMN....i love you guys :bowrofl:
yeah. God forbid i'd want to take my car out for a nice long drive. the diff would probably grenade itself. or i'd crash seeing as how i'd be in full drift mode all the time
but yeah.... Flybert said it best. just change the fluid and you're good to go.
