I have a D-jetro and been looking up the boost control kits. The kits consist of a map sensor, solenoid and 2 wiring harness for $350. If Im running D-jetro (MAP), I dont need to get the complete kit right? Since I have the MAP sensor already, all I need to get is the solenoid and wiring for it? $150 beats the hell out of spending $350.

i have the L-jetro version. i think thats probably all you need.

I'm selling the boost solenoid for the Avcr if it'll hook up.

All you need is the solenoid and the vacuum lines:)

its not gonna work. there's a difference between that and the one for th PFC. the plugs are different

Oh ok, thought i'd try, so are you looking for the kit or just the solenoid itself?

This is just my $0.02, But I would get a Blitz Dual Solonoid. I have tried the Apexi Boost controller For the Power-FC and it just cant control the Boost spikes, But got a Blitz one and it ran fine. Its not worth the price tag your looking at.

haha, i paid 500 for my AVCR about 3 years ago, haven' had any problems so far with it spiking too high. were you running internal wastegate or external?

Thats actually what i have now, atleast the older blitz one with 2 knobs. but for some reason lately, its not holding boost. My tuner pretty much told me it sucks cuz he cant make it hold the proper boost when he tuned my PFC. He said he'd set it at 62 and itll hold 1.1. The moment he tried to make it go 1.2 at 63, it would spike to 1.4-1.5.
you guys are talking about the 415-A001 boost control kit? I actually just got that recently. I wasn't aware there was a map sensor included. Does this mean with the kit L- Jetro can be converted to the D-Jetro?
I bought the kit cause I've heard several good things about it. And being able to control through the power fc commander is a huge plus.

I haven't had a problem setting my boost with the boost control kit. It seems to self learn to control spike (the 3rd number - 255, varies itself). After driving awhile it smooths out. After a day or two I rarely get more than a .05 variance in boost from the target setting, and if i do its usually hot to cold weather related.

Yes it can, it actually controls it perfectly.
Tell your tuner how to properly set start duty, then roll it on the dyno, then set desired boost in data logit.
it actually is one of the best boost controllers I have used so far on internally wastegated cars.
...again if it is configured and tuned properly.
PFC + Closed Loop Boost control is the best way to go imo, if you insist on using the PFC

The AEM Solinoid is the same.
The S2k guys know the source, its 27$ not from aem or apexi, the only problem is getitng the right wires.

No you cant, the way i understand it. The L-jetro will read the MAP sensor just to read the boost level. It doesnt really do anything else for it other than use it for that and the boost kit. It doesnt have the capability to use the MAP sensor to replace the MAF. Thats the difference between the L-jetro and the D-jetro. D-jetro has the program to use the MAP and comes with the sensor.
As far as the solenoid kit, how does this plug in? I thought theres only 1 port in the PFC box? I should have a 5 pin plug and im pretty sure the MAP/boost sensor is plugged into that port. How do I add in the solenoid harness into the equation?

The 5 pin plug is the easy part.
I assume you need Apexi pins to go in said plug, they don't come with PFC D-Jetro.
Mad wack.

I am running an AVC-R in tandem with the D-Jetro PFC and it works beautifully.
2 MAP sensors, one for AVC-R, one for PFC.....PFC uses it to calculate load, AVC-R uses it to control boost....then turn off boost control on PFC, so that AVC-R does that on it's own.
Plus, you can toy with the AVC-R right there in the car and adjust boost right there, and the PFC will adjust the fuel on it's own, assuming your tuner did a good job of tuning all the load/RPM cells

I'm running tandem also..L-jet and AVCR. Expensive combo^

My Power FC (L Jetro) only has 3 pins so I am assuming that is for the MAP sensor.
http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/docs/powerfc-faq/powerfc-faq.htm#38
According to the site above all I need is to hook up the MAP sensor and it will run the stock SR solenoid. Can anyone confirm that?
Also the MAP sensor was thought to be Denso 949940 6270 or DPS 310 2000a. If this is the case then I just need to find that part and install it.
