View Full Version : GI: UR Accessory Pulley Sets

I've been a fan of UR and their products for quite a while now, and that didn't change when I started my first S-Chassis project. UR used to make a full Underdrive pulley set for the KA24DE, and I've been drooling over it ever since I read this article. (http://www.importtuner.com/powerpages/0210it_1996_nissan_240sx_se/index.html). I saw an unopened set sale for $300 recently on the forums, and I'm kicking myself for missing out on them. I'm tired of waiting on the parts to show up for sale, so I am working with UR now to find out pricing for another production run. The minimum number of sets they will do a run for is 40. I'd keep a set for myself, and sell the rest here and on various other forums. All of the information is in the article. The full set (including crank pulley) yielded 12whp.
To clarify, since the crank pulleys are widely available, I'd be getting only the accessory pulleys. Would anyone be interested if the price was reasonable? Thanks for reading.

Yes and double yes. I remember when they were clearancing them out and I thought I'd wait. I waited too long and they were gone. So I would definatly like a pair if the price is reasonable.

yes yes yes, i have the crank and then found the water pump and bought it thinking i would find the alt and p/s, but like everyone else no such luck. i would love to buy a set/ need to buy a set.

what color would they make them in.
and how much.
but i would buy them for sure please let me know in a pm if you could to let me know how much and when they would make them

i should have never sold my full set, but $$ was tight and I was in a jam. I'd be in on this for sure!

You're going to have a hard time finding 40 people.. but if the price is reasonable to an extent, count me in!!!

Colors? Dude, think of the initial investment I'm already going to be making. I'm an individual considering the possibility of buying 40 accessory pulley sets outright. It's a huge risk for me, but one I'd take if there's enough interest.

Anodizing is widely available, so it shouldn't be a problem for you to have them done if you want it that bad.

As far as pricing, you guys are gonna get the best deal I can give. I'd like to get my own free set for my trouble, but that's not much split between 40 people. I'm still waiting on a reply from UR, but I will let you know numbers ASAP.

I'm interested if it's below $300.

It's hard to justify more than that for pulleys.

I tried to get them to re release this set. But the fact of the matter is that UR will make the pulleys. But ka/240sx guys will not shell out a pully set for $300.

We try to make turbo setups for under 1000 .. Do you really think when it comes time to buy 300 pulleys, will they actuall pay?

Not trying to be a dush.. But I tried this a lot of intrest but when it comes time to do a deposit no one wants to shell out the cash..

10 people maybe.. 40 ppl highly doubt it..

Just my .02 cents

We will see what happens. I understand that there are alot of cheap 240sx drivers out there. But there are also those who are interested in quality parts. We shall see.

Its true tho. I really dont want to pay more then $200 which probably not realistic for UR. I dont think the power increase is worth more then $200 for what it is. I mean just for the accesories.

You can't get them from UR unless you buy a full production run. They don't make them anymore.

I bought the last set they had 3 years ago, and love them...I could only get red because it was the last ones they had in storage.

Very interested in the assesory set. Have the underdrive crank already. Been trying to find the assesory ones on several forums under wtb but no one either has them or they don't want to sell it. Maybe post a link to the new thread or move everything on to the new thread then delete this one.
