At the dealer for $6500 or on Ebay for half that.

What do you want the consult tool for? You can read codes on any obd 1 nissan by looking at the flashing light on the computer or you can hook up a generic scan tool (like a snap-on one). On the obd2 cars any obd2 code reader will work. I just don't see a point.

A consult tool is not a toy that you drool over! It can do waaayyyyy more than you need to do and probably even understand. Don't waste your money AND a perfectly good tool.

DUDE, it is a factory nissan tool and you can't figure out where to find one!!! That alone tells me that you have no realistic use for that tool! Shit I am an automotive tech that specializes in electrical/engine performance diagnostics and I don't need that tool! What could you possibly use it for? I fucking HATE mechanics and people in general who want to buy a tool just to show it off! You know the types that polish their fucking tool boxes! It is a god damn tool! If you don't need it then don't buy it. If you DO need it then buy it and use the fuck out of it!

Only reason I polish my tool box is so that it will last me more than a few years . . . and to get the dust/grease off (i hate black painted objects).

As I stated in my PM I am not trying to insult you, I am calling you out! I think that you just want the consult tool as a toy to show off to your buddies and most likely here too, which is a waste. If I am wrong and you have an actual use for it let me and everyone else know. I want to show you that there is no need for this tool almost anytime and prevent you from wasting your money. If you choose to waste it anyways then that is your choice.

my business is no business of yours, or anybody elses for that matter. even if i were to buy it for a toy, its still no business of yours to tell me whether or not its a waste of my money.

i could say the same to 75% of the posts on this website

whoever gave me the negative rep and saying "you are a moron" ... ur talking trash over the internet, if you have a problem with me, then thats ur problem and you can go deal with it however you want, but insulting me is only proving to me that you are weak.

Buying a consult tool would be pointless, you could get something that can do that and more for that kind of money, go standalone or nistune.

Call a Dealership and find out, if you think you really need/want the consult. You asked a question, and got an answer, albeit not the way you wanted it. You refuse to explain yourself, so there is no need for anyone else to explain why they think you're stupid.

This is ridiculous ...

It ends now.
