I have a custom made copper clutch that i like, but the pressure plate is stiffer than the clutch pedal on most 1950's vehicles... Literally.
Is there any reason why i shouldnt/cant take a pressure plate from an exedy stage 1 clutch, and match it to my custom clutch disk, making a softer pedal with a good grabbing clutch?

Have you tried a nismo slave cylinder?

No, but i did replace my old slave with a new one, and it didn't make ANY difference.

Well find out the clamping force on the pressure plates and as long as the disk diameter matches up to the pressure plate I know nismo, ACT, and exedy sell pressure plates seperately. just find out how much clamping force do you need for the disk and how much power are you planning/putting out

The nismo clutch cylinder is suppose to make the clutch feel softer because of the bigger cylinder i think.

Thew only reason you would want the nismo slave is if the pedal feel is too stiff for the clutch. If you can handle it or are used to it, get the oem one unless price is no worry. If you are looking for the best price on either slave, westco justin is the man. He posted a commercial classified on here for the nismos a week or so ago.
BTW the nabco/tokico is the oem one. You won't find one that says nissan on it.
And doesn't autozone have insane warranties on their parts? I would just take that old slave back and tell them they keep failing on you and you're upgrading to the real oem one.
