Bullshit, not one of us has a 30-something inch vertical jump and I am willing to bet that not many can get up and have it all in the air when measured against an oncoming car, nor the ability to STAY airborne long enough to not die.
Now, I am more than confident that he CAN pull off the jump, as can maybe 3-5 other individuals in the NBA, but again, that is something you just don't do in real life unless such daredevil stunts are your profession.

U dont need to do it on a green screen, u can just take the guy jumping, then the car pass by and make a mask, is really easy like the old "twins" effect when u see 2 of the same actor on the screen at the same time, is pretty easy ;)

The roof on my s13 is not much Higher than my waist.
Three or so years ago when i used to skate I was manualing full size picnic tables, so I'm pretty sure I could jump that high and I'm pretty sure a lot of you would be surprised at what you could do too.
and staying airborne long enough only depends on how fast the car is going.
Timing would be the main issue. to soon you come down on the car too late = front flip face plant.
would I try it. Fuck no. Will someone else... we can only hope.
Now I may consider attempting it for the amount of money kobe prolly made from it, but with a full face helmet, cause Id prolly jump too late

Doubt I do anymore, but while I played basketball in high school, my senior year my standing vertical measuered roughly 32-33in. and I was easily scissor jumping over 1.60ish meters in high jump. During some typical teenage showing off I scissor jumped over my short friend who we measured at 5'3" and I was told I had room to spare. Now? I'm probably not jumping much higher then high 20's. I played some basketball with some friends a few weeks back and slamming is a challenge now, and I'm not short. lol

But I still wasn't going to be jumping over an Aston Martin anytime soon. It's a fake vid, and according to a couple sources on google, Kobe's vertical measures in the 38-40in range. So MAYBE he could actually do it. Jumping is a lot about technique though... getting your whole body to aid in the jump and propel you skyward. lol

Good point, now that you mention it, when I was in high school, my 5'8" ass could dunk a basketball on a regulation goal... Fuck if I could do so from a pure vertical, this would require that I have a running start from at least the 3-point line or someone throw a PERFECTLY placed alley... That was 10 years, several pounds and several thousand beers ago.
