The actual production car won't feature this V12 diesel...but there is still going to be a diesel powered R8 none the less.

The R8 is just pure hotness.

its like nitrous for the diesel yes, you can also use plain ol' nos on a diesel engine too but from what i hear, (no proof pure hear-say) its less reliable to use nos.

think of it like this. propane in a diesel=hand grenade whereas nos in a diesel= atom bomb.


and i just googled "propane on a gasoline engine" and all i came up with was conversion kits for gasoline->propane so i wouldnt reccomend trying to use propane as a nos susbtitute in the 240...

yeah, the TDI R8 won't come to production as a v12; the firewall had to be moved on the concept to fit the v12, so the production car will most likely have audi's diesel v8.

if there is any company that should make a diesel supercar, it's definitely Audi.

I love watching the evolution of this car, from the 1991 Avus Concept to this 2008 TDI R8 concept.

i would think that roof would get annoying. no way to escape the sun, but it does look super sexy.
