I have a tomei oil block adapter and i bough an oil pressure gauge so i can screw into the tomei piece. The oil pressure has 1/8 PT thread which is tapered and when i screw it in to the tomei piece it doesnt go in all the way, like 1/4 of the way than stops because of the tapered thread. Is this ok? or do i have to get one of those thread converter things? Tried searching.... be nice..

Tomei = Japan

Japan = BSPT

1/8 PT = NPT

NPT =/= BSPT

thats what you need. You could do it without that with pipe dope but thats ghetto in my opinion.

any major performance retail store will have this piece available over the counter. Even local nut/bolt shops should have them in stock. available in either stainless steel and brass. Also, be sure to use Loctite 565 PST Thread Sealant (http://www.henkelna.com/cps/rde/xchg/henkel_us/hs.xsl/1554_USE_HTML.htm?countryCode=us&BU=ut&parentredDotUID=productfinder&redDotUID=0000000I46) on almost every threaded water or oil connection.
