I just saw this car last weekend at the Performance nissan meet.

It looked fast.

We had to tech inspect it. That was dope...............

Then we had to get Taka to read a Japanese instruction manual.

I actually thought to myself.

"Geez if I bust out my keys right now and keyed the fuck out of the car, I'd be the first person in U.S. to do such a thing."

maybe on the state side.

The Amuse R35 was already running their own ECU ROM tune at Tsukuba Circuit recently.

awesome. would be good to see Cobb market the access port in Japan since the Power FC won't be out. Hope the seize the opportunity.

Cobb would market this under Cusco or another brand in Japan as they already do/are doing with the accessport.

I bet Cobb, is really the first to crack the ecu. Amuse is probably using a re hashed 350z, or g35 ecu with a rom on it. Really its not hard to re-wire a car if you have all the stuff. In the end its still just a motor that needs spark and fuel to run.

COBB, really? Good for them.
I am sure this will get easier once the GTR becomes more available in the US.
It is going to be like the first 'mod'.

Crack that ECU please

Nissan probably left some kind of a backdoor in the code so the ECU could be hacked and tuned by enthusiasts, while making Nissan look innocent.

One would hope that the car industry isnt taking cues from Bill Gates, i.e. vista and getting all the software but only being able to use the stuff you entered the code for (basic, premium etc.).

Good thing there are many smart people out there who want to use what they pay for.

Sorry guys but Cobb wasnt the first to crack the ECU, Mines was. They had the only GTR at Tokyo Auto Salon with an ECU tune. Car made around 525whp with their vX rom tune and exhaust. This was in January. Cobb can lay claim to the first US company to crack it.

First step, get GTR. Second step, re-tune the ecu to make sure no one surpasses the GTR on any track or road! This is great news for everyone.

^^^for real i don't know what everyone is physicked, they list at like $68,xxx and you know they'll sell for $70-75,000 so i would say that makes it unattainable by ohhhhh 99% of zilvia users

just like how the wiring on the r32 gtr's for the speed limiter was all bright yellow. snip snip, no more speed limiter.
