I hopefully can get the money to try this experiment, but i want to make a ram air system for my S13 hatch.  I need to know how to make custom designs out of fiberglass.  I am thinking i will have to get a block of wood and shape the mold from that.  Do i take a lot of petroleum jelly and coat the wood before i put on the fabric and glass, or is there some other easier way to do this.  Please help and if i haven't be specific enough for you to help me please ask for more information...I am kind of rushed right now at school!

I have a drawing i did in paint that shows one of the pieces i need to mold, if someone will host the picture for me, i could poste it in the thread, or just ask and i will email it to you.

that should help somewhat.

what i would do is use masking tape to put over the wooden mold you made then it just peels right off and the fiber glass comes off the masking tape with ease thats how i made the mold for my 240's dash.

the site mentions some good reads also on how to work with composites.
