So, I've picked up a VH45 and 300zx tranny for my S14. My biggest dilema right now is which ECU I go with.

I know nothing about wiring and what not. Luckily I have friend who do.

I've tried searching but unfortunately there isn't much out there in terms of what I"m looking for.

Here's what I have. Time. A decent amount of money. Welders trade tickets (for fabrication purposes).

I want the car to be a FULLY functional car. That includes A/C and cruise control etc. All those features everyone is willing to just throw away rather than dealing with them. Like I said, I have a lot of time to do this. With a decent amount of money. I'm not rich or anything mind you.
I just don't know which ECU would be the best for managing this.

I PM'd gsracer while ago but I never recieved a reply which is fine.

So again. Which ECU would be my best option for the VH45 swap while being able to have all the luxuries?

have you considered the factory ecu? find somewhere that can chip it or something if you plan on modding the motor...if not go standalone.

Oops. My bad. I forgot to mention.

I plan on slapping on GT28's in the near future.

I know I should go standalone. I just don't know what my best option would be.

And yes, I considered the factory ECU. I don't see apoint in wiring up the factory ECU only to change it out within a year.

micro tec is good. If you want to build a custom ecu, then mega squirts are good...

basically it all comes down to people's opinion and experience with their respective standalones. Figure out who/where you're gonna get it tuned, ask them what they prefer and have the most experience with. If it's a reputable ECU (like any of the ones mentioned so far) then just dooooo eeeeet

Exactly. If no one around you knows how to tune the ECU you want, then what's the point in having it. Go find some really good tuners in your area and then go from there. They should know which one is best for you.

If your not going all out on the harness then I recommend the AEM EMS if your tuner is comfortable tuning it. If you doing a custom harness and have the cash, motec would be my 1st choice. You should contact whoever will be tuning it fist thing...

Whatever standalone you use you will still have to piggyback the stock ECU to keep all the useless luxury bullshit anyways, so I really don't think it matters.
