Yo people, Just wondering if there are any fellow surfers on zilvia and where you people like to go. I usually go out like once a week.

I ride a Lost 6'6'' SDII.

My Favorite spots are Huntington and Newport at 40th street, 56th street and some local spots in trestles.

Wish I knew how. Used to bodyboard up in newport with my cousin when I was living in Irvine though. Awesome beach too.

I do over the summers at VA beach from time to time. I'm no good at it. But I love the ocean so i'm cool with laying on a board in the Atlantic for a while :).

A lot of people surf Lake Superior up here. We've got a local club that goes out probably twice a week at different times of the year. Surprisingly we get some pretty big swells with waves 12' high, sometimes higher. Need to wear a drysuit , though since the water is like 35 degrees right now :smash:

Alex (alexthesus*pect) surfs.

I don't think he'll be doing it anytime soon until his leg heals but yeah you should hit him up.

I'll keep trying. I've been body surfing and "boogy boarding" since i was like 9yrs old. I wish I owned a surf board so I could keep practicing. Guess I'll keep renting till i get decent.

Well the swells pretty shitty around here and I'm a big guy so I ride a 8'6 Blue Long board. But I work a surf shop here so hopefully soon I will be picking up this 7'6 Action that has an awesome shape.

resurrecting this from the dead...

Grew up a military brat... learned to surf at VA Beach, Jax, FL, and for a short time in PR.
I don't get to surf often now that I live in New Orleans but there is a large Paddle Board scene here now.

When I do get a chance to get out its usually St. Augustine, FL, Panama City, Destin, or P-cola... yes you can surf in the Gulf. Some crazy shit coon-asses here go down to Fushon (sp) and surf... I dunno about that... dirty brown wave and Gators... I will take my chances with a Bull Shark first.

anyway... this is my only surviving board

Currently looking at a SeaGlass Project for fun, or a Robert August "This Is What I Ride" Longboard so the lady can learn.

Thought there was already a surfing thread?

Anyone go to El Porto or County Line regularly? I am at those spots pretty often.
